The Vitamin D Standardization Programme (VDSP) was established in 2010 and stated that all manufacturers of Vitamin D assays need to demonstrate alignment. The Siemens ADVIA Centaur Vitamin D Total assay provides confidence in results through alignment with the VDSP, also offering an equimolar vitamin D response and minimal cross-reactivity with 3-epi-25-OH Vitamin D3 (1.1%).
