Greiner had already been supplying customers with pharmaceutical packaging containers. Good contacts to institutes with laboratory requirements were therefore in place. Greiner began manufacturing the first single-use polystyrene Petri dish in N\u00fcrtingen, Germany in 1963. It was then that Greiner Labortechnik was founded.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section> In the decades that followed, the company brought numerous innovations to market and often demonstrated a pioneering role \u2013 for example, in the development of the first evacuated plastic blood collection system or the world\u2019s first 1536 well microplate. On its 60th anniversary, the globally active company with German\u2013Austrian roots can look back on its milestones and pioneering history. Greiner Bio-One, headquartered in Kremsm\u00fcnster, Austria employs around 2,800 people at 29 locations in 22 countries worldwide.<\/h3>\n
