Radiometer to showcase blood gas analysers at IBMS Congress
Radiometer, the urgent and acute care testing specialist, will join forces with Leica Biosystems and Cepheid to present a unified Danaher Diagnostics portfolio at IBMS Congress 2025. The collaboration, to be showcased on Stand 109 at Birmingham ICC from 22-25 September, demonstrates how point-of-care (POC) blood gas and immunoassay analysers can create a more connected diagnostic ecosystem.
Connected diagnostic solutions address healthcare challenges
The partnership aims to tackle critical healthcare challenges including fragmented workflows, extended turnaround times, and operational inefficiencies that impede clinical decision-making. Through shared connectivity, data insights, and managed service contract models, the Danaher companies collectively support clinical pathology laboratories with enhanced confidence and agility.
“We’re excited to be coming together at IBMS to highlight the connected diagnostic ecosystem created by the collaboration between Radiometer, Leica Biosystems and Cepheid and show how our unique strengths combine to support clinical decision-making – from POCT to rapid molecular and tissue analysis,” said Sarah Oliver, Senior Marketing Manager.
ABL90 FLEX PLUS delivers rapid blood gas analysis
Radiometer will showcase its ABL90 FLEX PLUS compact blood gas analyser, capable of measuring 19 key parameters including creatinine and urea (eGFR) from a single 65 µL sample in 35 seconds. The system helps minimise pre-analytical errors through specially designed capillary sampling tubes (safeCLINITUBES) and aspirating or self-fill blood gas syringes (safePICO syringes).
The company’s 1st Automatic workflow solution further simplifies bedside blood gas workflows by combining ABL blood gas analysers, pre-coded safePICO syringes, and the AQURE FLEXLINK sample flow management system.
Drop’n’go immunoassay testing for critical biomarkers
The AQT90 FLEX immunoassay analyser offers simple Drop’n’Go benchtop testing, delivering laboratory-quality results within minutes to accelerate patient flow. The system provides POC testing across an extensive range of critical biomarkers without sample preparation requirements, including D-Dimer, CRP, procalcitonin, and NT-proBNP.
AQURE middleware ensures comprehensive device management
Radiometer’s AQURE vendor-neutral IT middleware provides comprehensive oversight of all point-of-care devices, offering real-time device and operator management, reporting capabilities, and interfacing with hospital IT systems. This supports accreditation and compliance requirements whilst enabling healthcare teams to make rapid clinical decisions.
Sustainability commitment at IBMS Congress
As part of Radiometer’s ongoing sustainability commitment, the company will plant one tree for every visitor scanned at Stand 109 during the congress.
Oliver added: “IBMS is an opportunity to connect, learn, and collaborate with healthcare professionals. Please join us, and together we can make a difference to the planet.”
