Revvity introduces AI-powered multimodal imaging analysis software
Revvity has introduced Living Image Synergy AI, a unified software platform designed to streamline preclinical imaging analysis across multiple modalities. The solution integrates artificial intelligence capabilities to enhance data analysis for in vivo imaging researchers working with optical, microCT, ultrasound, and other imaging technologies.
Centralised platform addresses workflow fragmentation
The software addresses a persistent challenge in preclinical research: the need to use separate analysis tools for different imaging modalities. By providing a single platform for multimodal data analysis, the system aims to reduce data inconsistencies and improve reproducibility across studies.
“Tracking, monitoring, and visualising biological processes and disease progression is central to understanding complex biology and evaluating potential therapeutics early in development,” said Kevin Quick, VP of platforms at Revvity. “By unifying disparate analysis tools and integrating AI into existing workflows, Revvity’s new solution is directed towards enabling earlier insights and more consistent analysis across modalities, and greater reproducibility across studies – ultimately helping researchers move faster and with more confidence.”
AI automation targets labour-intensive processes
The platform incorporates advanced AI algorithms to automate image segmentation and region-of-interest quantification, processes that have traditionally been manual, time-consuming, and subject to variability. These automated features are designed to support high-throughput analysis whilst enabling researchers to monitor disease progression and assess therapeutic efficacy with improved accuracy and statistical confidence. The software includes intuitive co-registration tools that facilitate seamless correlation of datasets across imaging modalities. According to Revvity, this unified approach helps researchers identify biological insights that might remain hidden when using isolated analysis systems.
The Living Image Synergy AI software was unveiled at the WMIC conference in Anchorage, Alaska, which ran from 29 September to 3 October 2025.
