seqWell makes five new appointments
seqWell, a global provider of next-generation sequencing (NGS) library technologies based on its proprietary plexWell multiplexing platform, announced five appointments to its commercial team. Led by Steve Smith, who joins as Chief Commercial Officer, the team will be responsible for driving awareness, adoption, and development of the plexWell platform and product pipeline, to provide scientists with a simplified NGS workflow. Joining Smith are Curtis Knox, Senior Product Manager; Renata Santos, Senior Field Applications Scientist; Kellie Faulkner, Marketing Manager; and Laura Clark, Marketing Specialist.
seqWell’s plexWell platform is an NGS library preparation technology that enables simple, scalable multiplexing of hundreds to thousands of samples without the need for time- and cost-consuming sample preparation or library normalization steps. The simplified three-hour workflow enables enhanced overall sequencing performance with uniform depth of coverage across all samples while maximizing sequencing efficiency. In addition to plexWell, seqWell is developing several products to support a wide range of multiplexed sequencing applications.
Smith has more than 25 years’ experience in bringing disruptive technologies to market in life science business and commercial leadership roles.
