Comprehensive laboratory digitalization capabilities

The newly integrated SciY platform delivers laboratory automation and precision robotics for research and development alongside quality control applications. The system incorporates artificial intelligence and machine learning-ready analytical data lakes with built-in contextualisation and governance protocols, ensuring data integrity throughout the research pipeline.

Process Analytical Technology capabilities include analytical knowledge management, experiment design, scheduling, and comprehensive data management systems. Real-time laboratory and process monitoring features enable model-based process control, supporting the development of autonomous laboratory environments and molecular factories designed for continuous improvement protocols.

Streamlined innovation adoption

“Our lab software and automation experts have been collaborating for years,” said Eamonn Garry, Director synTQ and Industrial Automation Solutions at SciY. “Now that integration is beneficial to our customers, making it even easier to adopt new software and automation innovation without disrupting what already works.”

The integration specifically targets the reduction of implementation barriers for digital transformation initiatives. By harmonising previously separate software and automation systems, researchers can maintain existing operational protocols while accessing enhanced analytical capabilities.

Strategic positioning in pharmaceutical manufacturing

Santiago Dominguez, President of SciY, emphasised the platform’s comprehensive approach: “We are lowering the barrier to laboratory digital transformation, from the first bench-scale experiment to validated molecular manufacturing. By bringing Optimal’s know-how fully into our vendor-agnostic SciY ecosystem, biopharma scientists and chemical engineers can move seamlessly from data to decision and to action.”

The SciY Laboratory Digitalization Suite integrates technologies originally developed by Mestrelab, Optimal, ZONTAL, Arxspan, and LOGS within the Bruker laboratory software ecosystem, creating a unified vendor-agnostic platform for comprehensive laboratory digitalization initiatives.
