D-Dimer automated Immunoassay
D-Dimer is a critical test to rule out the presence of a thrombus, especially in patients in suspicion of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE) or strokes. Other applications are situated in the diagnosis of hypercoagulation and disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC). The ST AIA-Pack D-Dimer assay uses the Tosoh AIA-Pack single test technology: all specific reagents to perform one test are contained in one and the same cup (one cup = one test), making it a most economical way to perform immunoassays. The D-Dimer result becomes available in less than 20 minutes after the start of the test and runs on all Tosoh Automated Immunoassay Analysers (AIA-360, AIA-900 series, AIA-2000). The test meets all standards for the routine and emergency clinical diagnosis.
