Autolomous and Cellular Origins integrate platforms for end-to-end cell therapy manufacturing
Autolomous and Cellular Origins have announced integration of their respective platforms, bringing automation and digitisation to the cell therapy manufacturing process. The combined approach establishes a connected manufacturing environment intended to give developers greater standardisation, traceability and control across the manufacturing pathway.
A connected manufacturing environment
Cellular Origins’ Constellation® platform supports low-risk cell therapy manufacturing by integrating mobile robotics, existing bioprocessing technologies and sterile fluid transfer within a coordinated operation. Its modular architecture is designed to allow developers and manufacturers to scale manufacturing capacity as demand increases, while maintaining standardised processes, avoiding therapy redevelopment and reducing scale-up risk.
Autolomous’ digital autoloMATE™ platform enables real-time data exchange and integration across existing software, AI systems, devices and robotic platforms spanning the manufacturing process and supply chain, while safeguarding intellectual property. Its modular architecture allows each deployment to be configured to individual customer requirements.
Constellation and autoloMATE combine
Together, the two platforms are intended to address fragmentation, limited visibility, and the absence of standardised, interoperable data flows, without replacing existing processes, so that manufacturers can scale to commercially viable levels. First integrations have been achieved at the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult Digital and Automation Testbeds, as part of an Innovate UK-funded project.
