Bioplastic introduces calprotectin semi-quantitative rapid test with triple threshold level

Bioplastic has released an immunochromatographic kit (monotest) for the semiquantitative determination of faecal calprotectin. Through development on the reactive card of three coloured bands, the evaluation of the concentration interval can be determined on three distinct levels depending on the combination of 3 coloured bands (T1, T2 and T3).

Only T1 develop: Calprotectin concentration below 15ug/g: minimal risk of chronic inflammatory bowel diseases.

Both T1 and T2 develop: Calprotectin concentration between 15ug/g ~ 60ug/g: low risk of chronic inflammatory bowel diseases.

T1, T2 and T3 develop Calprotectin concentration above 60ug/g: high risk of chronic inflammatory bowel diseases.
