Canine Parvovirus (CPV) is a highly contagious virus that causes a gastrointestinal infection in dogs. Puppies are very susceptible resulting in high mortality rates. The virus is transmitted through faeces and can survive in the environment in the dried state on clothing, shoes and caging for long periods of time. Treatment is supportive care.
ViroStat has released a set of new monoclonal antibodies to CPV. These antibodies form pairs to detect the virus by ELISA. They also function in IFA staining to detect infected cells. These antibodies are excellent tools for rapid detection of CPV by immunoassay methods. Go to the ViroStat website to download this data sheet.
ViroStat is a primary manufacturer, supplying infectious disease reagents to researchers and rapid test manufacturers since 1985.
