ReviveLab has released a free, browser-based Laboratory Procurement & Traceability Pack Builder aimed at laboratory operations, receiving, procurement, research, core facility, and quality personnel who work with reagents, standards, antibodies, assays, chemicals, biotechnology materials, and consumables.

The tool allows users to generate a lightweight documentation pack covering five modules: a pack cover and revision register, a supplier questionnaire, product and lot intake records, custody transfer records, and discrepancy follow-up records. The supplier questionnaire is built around criteria and observations defined by the user, without automated approval or scoring, whilst custody transfer records are repeatable rows without electronic signatures or legal attestations.

How the builder works

Users select modules and optional fields, choose between a blank template or a completed record, and then download their pack as a printable PDF with selectable text, an editable DOCX, a flat CSV register, or a versioned ZIP file containing selected forms, methodology, sources, and contents.

Data handling and privacy

According to ReviveLab, form values remain in page memory during use. The application does not transmit entered values, autosave completed records, use analytics, or call external APIs, and closing or reloading the browser clears any unsaved entries.

Field concepts used within the tool draw on original wording synthesised from public laboratory and scientific resources.

Scope and limitations

ReviveLab is explicit that the tool is a documen­tation aid only. It does not constitute supplier verification, a compliance system, a laboratory information management system (LIMS), legal advice, or a determination of product identity, purity, authenticity, suitability, safety, or quality. The PDF output is printable with selectable text, though no tagged PDF or PDF/UA claim is made.

ReviveLab notes that the free tool contains no product promotion, rankings, advertising, prices, or commerce call to action. The current release is version 0.1.0.
