SPT Labtech integrates recent acquisitions into unified brand and portfolio

SPT Labtech, a global leader in the design and development of automated instrumentation and consumables for life science applications, has unveiled new branding that brings together its technologies with those from recent acquisitions into a single entity. The merged portfolio and positioning reflect SPT Labtech’s commitment to harnessing the ingenuity and product development track record of its extended business to help scientists do better research.

The unified brand builds on the company’s 2021 strategic acquisitions of Apricot Designs, a liquid handling instrumentation provider, and BioMicroLab, a specialist in benchtop automation. The milestone also follows the recent appointment of a reinforced leadership team for SPT Labtech, tasked with overseeing and consolidating the entire business’s commercial, sales and product development operations to further the company’s ambitious growth plans.

Under the combined portfolio, the acquired businesses’ technologies will fall under the SPT Labtech brand as dedicated Apricot and BioMicroLab product lines. All customers will benefit from the industry-leading support services delivered by SPT Labtech’s team of dedicated field service engineers and field application scientists.
