Steroid hormones are important signaling molecules that regulate many physiological processes and their underlying biochemical processes.

They are found in humans and many animal species.
Tecan’s new product, Steroid Panel Tec-TraceTM, is intended to be used as an aid in the analysis of 17 steroid hormones and dexamethasone, particularly using LC-MS methods.

The 17 steroid hormones included in the panel are: 11-deoxycorticosterone, 11-deoxycortisol, 17-hydroxyprogesterone, 21-deoxycortisol, aldosterone, androstenedione, corticosterone, cortisol, cortisone, dehydroepiandrosterone, dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate, dihydrotestosterone, progesterone, testosterone, 17-hydroxypregnenolone, estradiol, and estrone.
